What are Zodiac Talismans NFT?: Zodiac Talismans NFT are new-age digital collectibles. It's kind of cool.

They might be developed into a plug'n'play item used for gaming.
What is an NFT?: It's a token. NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token. Here is a good resource to read about NFT.
What's so special about NFT?: The technology that powers NFTs give these tokens the almighty power similar to what a deed can do — proof of ownership. It's a different way for people to own things.
Proof of Ownership?: Yep. Ownership of an NFT is verifiable by checking what has been recorded on the blockchain.
What is ZTAL?: ZTAL is the short-name or the symbol for the Zodiac Talisman smart contract. We interchangeably call ZTAL by it's full name Zodiac Talisman NFT.
What's a smart contract?: A smart contract is a program (computer code) that runs on Ethereum.

The Zodiac Talisman smart contract was deployed to the Ethereum blockchain on February 2019. View on Etherscan.

Why is there a limit?: The reason is to create scarcity. Less is more ... they say.

In 2019, ZTAL's were created with a cap of 98,280. This limit will be reduced soon.

In 2022, any and all ZTAL currently held by Ok Cool Company will be distributed. The remaining unminted tokens, which can be purchased, will be burned.
Why 98,280?: 49,152 can be purchased.

49,128 can only be earned.

Which ones can I buy?: There is only one (1) talisman style that can be purchased — the Shale Grey Starter Talismans.

These are the ones displayed on our home page.

Unminted ones will be burned this year in 2022.
Which ones cannot be purchased?: There are eleven (11) talisman styles that can't be purchased. These are the ones with different colors.

These 49,128 can only be earned by playing in the competition called Chapter 0.

Unminted ones will NOT be burned this year in 2022.
What happens when all ZTAL has been distributed?: After all 98,280 have been minted and distributed, the only way for people to get a hold of these exact Zodiac Talisman NFTs, will be either trading or buying from another collector.
What is minting?: Minting means creating the NFT, using the smart contract.

What is Guardians of the Zodiacs?: Guardians of the Zodiacs (GZ) was a game that would have been developed to experiment with the usage of Zodiac Talismans NFTs in the game.

The idea was for the game to unfold as a saga with one chapter being released at a time. The story would take place in a fantasy world where players enter as Gaming Arts Practitioners.

Further development of the game is not guaranteed.
How would Zodiac Talisman NFTs be used in the game?: Collectors of Zodiac Talismans NFT would be able to plug'n'play their tokens into different mini-games of the saga.

For example, plug a rabbit talisman in to get a boost in speed, or plug in an ox talisman to gain strength (precise details are subject to change before release date).

What is Chapter 0?: Chapter Zero is a competition.

Collectors who wish to collect talismans with different colors, can acquire them by competing in this competition.

These original talismans with 11 different color styles can only be acquired during Chapter 0. Cannot be purchased.
